Rosemond Esegbe Kutsidzo holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Ethnomusicology from the Department of Music and Dance, University of Cape Coast, Ghana where she teaches. She teaches courses in applied music, including African drumming and dance, as well as music in African societies. Her research interests span various areas of ethnomusicology, such as music and religion, indigenous music sustainability, and the relationship between music and well-being. Currently, she is focusing her research on women in indigenous music. In 2019, Rosemond was awarded the prestigious Andrew Mellon Scholarship.
