Dr.phil. Gustav Danzinger

 

Born in Vienna in 1954. Musical education in piano, composition, conducting and choral conducting as well as musicology (doctorate in 1976). From 1979 to 1986 head of the organisation of the Tonkünstler Orchestra of Lower Austria, then head of music at the ORF regional studio of Lower Austria, from 1999 to 2019 senior editor in the music editorial department of Ö1. Since 1997 he has enjoyed teaching future conductors at the Vienna University of Music in the subject of "opera and oratorio studies", recently also "repertoire studies choral music". Founded the St. Georgs Chor Wien in 1977 and directed it until 2014.
