Transportation subsidy

The transportation subsidy (RGV § 7 Para. 4) can always be paid out in the absence of receipts for journeys taken using public transport or where passenger cars or taxis have been used without justification. The transportation subsidy is calculated on the basis of distance, taking a shortest-route calculation. The amount paid out is deemed to offset the expenses and is considered as coverage for all costs incurred. The maximum amount per route is € 52,-.

Since 2023, there has also been the option of an "enhanced transportation subsidy" (RGV § 7 Para. 5). An increased distance-dependent sum of up to €79,70 can be paid out upon presentation of a climate ticket (KlimaTicket). The respective ceilings can be found in the two tables below.
