Application and Conduct

  • Submission of a complete, clear, and concise application for an Erasmus+ teaching mobility to your home institution
    • All materials in English (or in German, if German is the language of instruction)
    • An application consists of:
      • CV – Curriculum Vitae
      • Brief description of content and teaching methods to be covered/applied in the proposed teaching project / teaching outline
      • If possible: applicant’s availability during the planned period of conduct
      • If already present: Mobility Agreement (completed and signed by the STA applicant and the applicant’s international office)
         
  • Nomination as an outgoing candidate for an Erasmus+ STA mobility activity by the international office at the candidate’s home institution, sent to the international office (IPM – Office for International Programme Mobilities) at the mdw.
     
  • If approved: Receipt of a “letter of Invitation” (LoI) as an incoming Erasmus+ teacher along with specification of one’s contact/host at the hosting mdw department. If rejected: rejection letter from the mdw’s international office.
     
  • In the case of acceptance, final nomination is made by the international office at the applicant’s home institution.
     
  • The international office at the applicant’s home institution sends a signature-ready Mobility Agreement (MoA) to the mdw’s international office prior to the beginning of the Erasmus+ STA teaching mobility in order to be signed. The signed MoA is sent by the mdw’s international office back to the international office at the applicant’s home institution.
     
  • Organisation of travel and stay (booking tickets and accommodations, etc.) takes place according to the home institution’s guidelines and is the responsibility of the incoming Erasmus+ STA teacher.
     
  • Expenses will be advanced or reimbursed by the home institution in accordance with its rules.
     
  • The incoming Erasmus+ STA teacher organises her/his teaching (in terms of content, time, and place) in coordination with and with help from the hosting mdw colleague and/or the hosting mdw department.
     
  • The International Office of the mdw will typically issue a confirmation of stay for the incoming Erasmus+ teacher immediately upon conclusion of their STA mobility.
