Diploma in Instrumental Studies

 

The Instrumental Studies programme at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna is structured as a diploma programme that provides professional training for the 21st century’s broad spectrum of occupational fields in which classically trained musicians can expect to work. All of these stylistic areas and genres are have in common the fact that they require professional instrumentalists who possess the highest possible technical and artistic qualifications.

The objective of this programme is to prepare students for careers that embrace the diverse forms taken by present-day musical life—from traditional operatic and concert performing to the broad and continually expanding spectrum of other ways in which music now reaches audiences.
