In many programmes of study, registration for continued enrolment in the university and in one’s artistic major can be done automatically.

Automatic continued enrolment in your artistic major will not work:

• if you want to voluntarily repeat the semester
• if you were on leave the previous semester
• if you did not register for an artistic major the previous semester (Kennzahlsemester)
• or if you were not registered for an artistic major the previous semester for reasons such as study abroad

 

If you want to register for the central artistic subject, please send the completed semester registration form to studiencenter@mdw.ac.at.

 

For Automatic continued enrolment to be the case,

1. Your ÖH membership fee and tuition need to have been paid on time, within the admissions period. Please note that only payments made to the mdw have the desired effect. If you have paid your ÖH membership fee / tuition to another university, you will still need to send the appropriate form (Semestermeldung) by e-mail to studiencenter@mdw.ac.at. Exception: in the case of BEd and MEd programmes (only those in combination with another subject at the University of Vienna), payment made to University of Vienna will also be accepted.

2. No reasons may exist that would cause the system to block this action! You can check whether such reasons exist by checking your "Business card" page in mdwOnline. Reasons for blocking are visible approx. 1 week before the deadline for the admission period. If such reasons do exist, please send the appropriate form (Semestermeldung) by e-mail to studiencenter@mdw.ac.at until the end of the admission period.

In any case, please do be sure to check before the end of the admissions period whether your continued enrolment in the University and in your desired artistic major has actually gone through. This information can be found on your My Courses page in mdwOnline or on your Studienblatt.
