In the last week of September, the international chamber music exchange “Young Talents on Tour” took place for the third time – a joint support program for young musicians from the Lübeck Academy of Music, the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg, and the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

Twenty-eight musicians aged between 16 and 19 worked intensively for four days on unique and diverse works of chamber music literature, guided by a dedicated team of instructors from Lübeck, Luxembourg, and Vienna. The results were presented to an enthusiastic audience in two final concerts – at the Future Art Lab at the mdw and at the Palais Coburg as part of Mathias Eckart’s prestigious concert series “Youth & Style.”

The week was characterized by intensive rehearsals, inspiring lessons, and a dynamic, playful improvisation workshop with Thomas Toppler. Another highlight was attending a public rehearsal of the Vienna Philharmonic at the Musikverein, conducted by Daniele Gatti.

Everyone involved clearly enjoyed being part of this project!
