The pursuit of social responsibility will play an even more important role in the future.

Another focus is the further development of digital transformation in the areas of research/science, art, teaching, and administration.

Moreover, the specialist departments located within the Vice-Rectorate assist with university-wide projects, such as the preparation of the University Development Plan (EP).

Based on the existing mdw strategies, in the coming years, there will be a strong focus on quality assurance processes, including the second Quality Audit, as well as the continuous development of strategically relevant areas of activity, such as the Human Resources Strategy of Researchers.

Central to this is the participation of the mdw in the first European University Alliance (EUA) in the field of Music called "IN.TUNE – Innovative Music & Art Universities Europe". Within the consortium, the Vice-Rector for Organizational Development and Diversity leads the field of "Societal Engagement" (Work Package 6: Strengthening our engagement with society).
