A night before leaving for the concert tour through Germany "following Bach's trails" to important places at which the great master worked and acted, the Webern chamber choir presented parts of its program prepared for the tour.

February in Germany was very cold, so of course the whole choir was wearing warm clothing when heading out. Imbedded in the Palm Sunday liturgy this meditative and enthralling interpretation of John's passion was performed. 
A collaboration project between institute 8 and institute 20.

09 June 2018: Missa Claravallensis - Gottfried von Einem

30 years after its composition, the Webern Chamber Choir performed "Missa Claravallensis" in a Holy Mass at the Franciscan church in Vienna. It was originally written on the occasion of the 850-year-anniversary of the Collegiate Church in Zwettl.

30 years after its composition, the Webern Chamber Choir performed "Missa Claravallensis" on the place of its debut performance. It was originally written on the occasion of the 850-year-anniversary of the Collegiate Church in Zwettl.

 

 


 

08 December 2018: Barocco e Latino

Kulturfabrik Hainburg, Hainburger Haydngesellschaft

 

Festive and baroque sounds of Christmas from France, Italy and Germany, played by the Webern Chamber Philharmonics, made up the first part of the evening. Then the Ensemble Autoctono and the Webern Chamber Choir performed the famous and electrifying "Misa Criolla" that was written by the Argentinian Ariel Ramirez, thus taking the audience on a journey to Latin America. Artistic director of the evening was the young Colombian conductor Roger Diaz Cajamarca.

 

The three young men, tenor soloists and conductor were cordially applauded by the audience.
