Join the choir and audition!

You want to make music on a high level together with other young music students, sing in concerts in Austria and abroad,
and collect exciting new experiences in a choir?

Then join the Webern chamber choir!!!

The Webern chamber choir generally only admits new members at the beginning of each academic year in September, wanting to maintain a stable cast throughout the whole time. Chosen members commit themselves to the choir for a year (two semesters) minimum. That way, the choir tries to ensure its continued quality. Joining the choir during the year is only possible in exceptions.

To join the Webern chamber choir, you will have to audition with our conductor Mr. Glaßner. For the audition you will have to

- recite a freely selectable aria or song (bring sheet music in the correct key)

- sight read

- show vocal quality in exercises (lead by the conductor)

The audition will take approx. 10 minutes.

Experience in choral singing and sufficient vocal training are preferable.

Auditions take place in September/October, at the beginning of each academic year. Under certain circumstances it is possible to join the choir for the summer semester. However, you can always get in contact so we can get to know each other.
