Research Internship
> for students of the Diploma Program Music Therapy (Vienna)
The main interest is to learn about different research approaches, strategies and methods (qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods) as well as the modeling of a possible scenario (eg., experimental setup of a laboratory day, participative research project) and its implementation.
This also includes dealing with the technical conditions at the WZMF (video recording and storage, data transfer, video editing,...), with legal requirements (data protection, informed consent, anonymization / pseudonymization) as well as the discussion of ethical issues.
Duration: one semester each, music therapy students of the mdw

Retrospective:
Winter term 2020/21: Music Therapy Assessments - quantitative and qualitative approaches to observe, assess and evaluate music therapy situations and treatment processes (e.g. APCI, AQR, OPD-2 etc.), structure, methodes and goals.
Winter term 2016/17: “Moments” in instrumental partner play – subjective and intersubjective experience, bio-feedback, EEG, music therapy intervention techniques
Summer term 2018: Music therapy in the context of crisis-foster families – participatory research, planning a focus group, conducting interviews, and much more
