Hannah Riedl studied music therapy at the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (graduated with distinction: 2014). Additional qualifications are the music therapy observation tool APCI - Assessment of Parent-Child-Interaction and the Psychotherapeutic Preparatory Course (ÖAGG).
Areas of clinical experience since 2014 have included pediatric oncology (St. Anna Children's Hospital), in adolescent and adult psychiatry (Neuromedcampus Linz) as well as in private practice incl. offering self-experience seminars. Since 2015 she has been lecturing at the Department of Music Therapy (> Riedl) and as a guest lecturer at GRAMUTH – Grazer Musiktherapie (Graz Music Therapy, Styria, Austria).
She has been a research associate since 2017 and senior scientist since 2021 at WZMF – Music Therapy Research Centre Vienna. She is working towards her PhD at Aalborg University entitled: "What is the Value of Music Therapy?" Music Therapy and Health Economics: scoping review, SROI analysis and application guide."
Her interest in professional politics led her to take on various functions at ÖBM - Austrian Professional Association of Music Therapists: 2014 - 2018 editorial member of the newsletter and since 2020 member of the AG Finanzierung (Working Group on Financing).
