Music therapy is a legally recognised health care profession in Austria. It is used for preventive, therapeutic or rehabilitative purposes and is provided from neonatology to hospice services. The Music Therapy Research Centre Vienna (WZMF) is based on the idea of combining music therapy research with music therapy treatment and music therapy training. In this lecture, we present music therapeutic research approaches focusing on children, adolescents and families.
