Leonhard Grond
Leonhard Grond is professor for the PhD in Art program together with Ruth Anderwald, with whom he worked on Dizziness–A Resource (FWF PEEK 244) and Navigating Dizziness Together (FWF PEEK 598).
Currently, he is working on a spatial audio installation, On Certain Groundlessness, with contributions by, i.a., Tim Ettchels, Natasha Lennard, Trevor Paglen.
Grond is the co-founder of the award-winning nomadic screening- and discussion series, and art-based research tool HASENHERZ.
In 2020 he received the Art Prize of the City of Graz for their arts-based research on dizziness. The long-term co-creative and cross-disciplinary practice of Anderwald + Grond prevail an open and egalitarian culture, empowering co-researchers to cross research areas, methodo-logies and/or communities.
He is part of the arts-based research team commissioned to follow the restoration process of the Austrian National Exhibition at the Memorial and Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau (2018-23).
