L'astratto o sia Il giocator fortunato | |
Date of performance | 1774-06-01 Viennese Premiere |
Dating of manuscript | 1774 |
Notes | Written in the workshop of WK71F on exactly the same set of paper as Piccinni_17824, the score was certainly copied at the time of the Viennese premiere, too. It was not bound and therefore the edges of the paper were not cut (thus keeping the watermarks complete). The score contains annotations by Joseph Haydn and was used for a series of performances at Esterháza, starting on July 12, 1778. Furthermore, the score contains one not identified hand, which displays typical Viennese trademarks and resembles WK72Z. However, it differs in a few essential elements, such as the bass-clef and the C-clef. |
