Paper      P58
Date of use1764 - 1769; 1774
Paper millRomano Avanzini, Toscolano
CommentaryMark and countermark are arranged vice versa in the two twins. The description of the watermark is referring to the A-twin. Since most of the music paper used in Vienna between 1760 and 1774 was produced in Toscolano (Lombardy), we attribute P58 to the paper mill of Romano Avanzini in Toscolano. Mattozzi, p. 337 however names two further mills which can be taken into consideration for alternative attributions: Rocco Albanese, alle corti (Treviso) and Rocco Aureggio on behalf of Bortolo Aureggio, Limone.
