Pia Raddatz

Pia Raddatz is a PhD student and researcher at the Department of Music Sociology. Having started her PhD studies in 2024, Pia’s current research interest lies in Club Cultures of Electronic Dance Music. Pia’s PhD qualitative-empirical project focuses on the processes of cultural consecration and the construction of popular music history and heritage, including its politics of class and gender from music sociological and queer perspectives. Pia has several years of teaching experience at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach, and worked for clubs and record labels.
