The Kodály concept and the Hungarian Method

First, I would like to introduce the main philosophical ideas of the Kodály concept and give a brief survey of the Hungarian music educational system.
The workshop would provide a good chance to present the most typical means of these methods according to Kodály´s principles : “Only activity can lead someone to a real understanding and appreciation of music. Simply listening to music is not enough.”
I would like to make the audience to active participants by singing folksongs and extracts of vocal and instrumental compositions.
