The Master’s degree program HPP at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna serves to deepen and supplement the scientific and artistic vocational training on the basis of technical bachelor studies or other equivalent preliminary studies.
The HPP master’s program is aimed at instrumentalists and singers who specialize in music from the 17th to the 19th century and who want to use “historical” instruments or singing techniques belonging to these periods. The central content is the acquisition of practical-technical skills, artistic and interpretive skills and historical and scientific knowledge in a closely related, integrated way.
