Spoken Presentations
All spoken presentations are allotted 18 minutes total (15 minutes presentation + 3 minutes Q&A).
Virtual spoken presentations
Virtual presentations can be either given live or pre-recorded. If you want to pre-record your presentation, please email the recording in mp4, mov, or m4v format via WeTransfer to togetherness@mdw.ac.at by Monday, July 4.
On-site spoken presentations
On-site presentations can be given using your own computer or using the symposium computer. If you want to use the symposium computer, please bring us your presentation on a flashdrive, at latest during the break before your session. On-site presenters are welcome to test their presentations beforehand.
Poster Presentations
All poster presenters (virtual and on-site) should prepare a 1-minute pre-recorded speed presentation of their poster. The point of the speed presentation is to give everyone a brief idea of what your project is about. We recommend preparing 1-2 slides and recording a spoken explanation using the “record presentation” function in your presentation software. Please save your presentation (up to 65 seconds in duration) as mp4, mov, or m4v and email it via We Transfer to togetherness@mdw.ac.at by Monday, July 4.
Virtual poster presentations
Please prepare 1-3 slides outlining your project. These do not need to be submitted beforehand. You will be assigned a Zoom break-out room for the poster session, and once in your break-out room, you can present your slides from your own computer by sharing your screen.
On-site poster presentations
The recommended poster sizes are either A0 with portrait orientation or A1 with landscape orientation. Posters can be prepared using a presentation software (e.g., Powerpoint or Keynote) and should be printed before you arrive at the symposium. We will not be able to print posters for you (though we can recommend local printing shops). When designing your poster, please use high-resolution images and remember that people should be able to read the text from 1-2 meters away.
