Enjoying a live experiment! This concert is intended as live experiment, during which acoustic and physiological data will be collected, including audio and video of the performance as well as electromyography (EMG), electrocardiography (ECG) and breathing activity of the pianists whilst performing on a CEUS computer-controlled grand piano.
Lizaveta Bormotova performs as a soloist and with orchestras in Europe, the USA and Brazil. She has performed in some of the world’s most renowned concert halls, including the Brahms Saal in Musikverein and Mozart Saal in Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Salle Cortot in Paris and the Small Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. Lizaveta was born in Grodno, Belarus, and graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory with a degree in Piano in 2016, and from mdw in Vienna with a Master in Piano in 2020, as a student of Lilya Zilberstein. She has won several international musical competitions, including the Karl Filtsch International Piano Competition and the IMKA International Music and Dance Competition in 2017, the International Competition Premio Roma in 2016, the Music Festival and Competition Young Talents Vienna in 2015, and the International Piano Competition “Alexander Scriabin” in 2011
Xin Li was born in China in 1995 and she began her piano studies at the age of four. In 2018, she completed her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at the Central Conservatory of Music and began the Master of Music in Piano Performance with Professor Yuan Sheng. In 2020, Xin came to Vienna as an exchange student and studied Piano Performance with Professor Martin Hughes at mdw. Since 2021, she has been studying Vocal Accompaniment at the mdw in the class of Prof. Justus Zeyen.
