Carlos GOIKOETXEA

Born in Burgos (Spain) in 1991, he has been an active concert artist since his first recitals and concerts with orchestra in 2002. His concert schedule has taken him to many important theaters and festivals in Spain and abroad (France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Belgium, etc.), playing recitals in Berlin, Essen, Weimar, Salzburg, Paris, Lucca, Noli, Verbania, Bad Krozingen, Innsbruck, etc. and as a soloist with the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of Castile and Leon, Bilbao Symphony Orchestra (BOS), Chamber Orchestra of the Caja Duero Foundation, the Symphony Orchestra of Vizcaya (BIOS), Presjovem Orchestra, etc. under the baton of Dmitri Orlov, Alejandro Posada, Gérard Caussé, Pablo Mielgo, having performed with them in the most prestigious concert halls in Spain.

He studied a Master’s degree in Piano with Professor Imre Rohmann and a Master’s degree in Fortepiano and a Bachelor’s degree in Harpsichord with Professor Wolfgang Brunner at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg (Austria). He has taught Fortepiano and Chamber Music at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) and is currently teaching Performing Practice at the Mozarteum. He has been invited to give piano master classes at the Bilbao Conservatory of Music. His professional recordings have been broadcasted live on radio and television. He also made a studio recording for the Historical Archive of the Spanish National Classical Music Radio. He has released two albums: «The chant of grief» with music from the Spanish composer Antonio José and «Hexameron», recorded with the German label MDG.
