Opportunities and possibilities of concert moderation

Music needs no explanation.
But the experience and enjoyment of music can be enhanced and intensified by a concentrated moderation.
This moderation, like everything that happens on stage, should be well prepared. It is part of the performance. It offers opportunities to reduce the barrier between the podium and the audience.
These chances want to be used:
Albert Hosp, long-time employee of Ö1 and presenter of many live concerts gives tips on "performance before performance" and explores the following questions:
- What does interaction with the audience mean?
- What is especially important to me for the experience of my music?
- How can I be convincing as an artist also in the moderation?
For a practical approach to the topic, participants are asked to bring a piece of music and present it live with moderation.
Target group: Students and alumni of the mdw
The workshop is free of charge and can be taken as an elective at the mdw.
