D'un rêve parti

An evening full of contemporary sounds and a multifaceted repertoire-including two world premieres by former mdw composition students Dror Binder and Dimitrios Mousouras.

The Argo Kollektiv, consisting of Panos Nikitaris (piano), Juan Moreda (saxophone), Taikan Yamasaki (percussion) and Youngseo Kim (violin), was trained in the New Music Ensemble master's program at the mdw Vienna. The chamber music ensemble aims to explore the diverse sonic possibilities of the combination of saxophone, piano, violin and percussion.

The ensemble works with renowned artists of the Viennese avant-garde such as Alvaro Collao, Mathilde Hoursiangou, Annette Bik and Jean-Bernard Matter. In 2023, they made their debut at the Schiermonnikoog Festival and presented their project Der Anfang des Mythos at Brick-15 in Vienna.

They were awarded 2nd prize at the mdw's Leonard Bernstein Institute competition and were finalists at the Osaka International Music Competition.
