TRIangle: Verbindungen | Seo Yoon Jang
Thursday, November 21, 2024 | 6.30 p.m.
Performing Stage | Musikquartier 1060 Wien
TRIangle is an interdisciplinary art project by students of music, visual arts, and dance in Vienna. The project brings together three art forms — music, art, and dance — in a creative dialogue and provides a platform for artistic collaboration and exchange. The first edition in 2024/25 is dedicated to the theme of “dialogue,” with music as the central art form. Contemporary works from new music, electronic music, media art, and performance that transcend genre boundaries will be presented. The aim is to promote communication between different artistic languages, open up new perspectives, and encourage the audience to reflect on exchange in today's society.

Her pieces have been performed at various venues such as the Künstlerhaus Wien, Reaktor, Alte Schmiede Wien, Thila Ground in Seoul, Konzerthaus Daegu, etc. in Austria and South Korea, and one of her works has been selected for the Daegu International Computer Music Festival 2022 in South Korea. She was also selected as the winner of the KlangbildKlang composition competition, and her orchestral piece was premiered by the Webern Symphony Orchestra on June 22, 2024, in the Great Hall of the Vienna Konzerthaus.
She is not only interested in music, but also in interdisciplinary collaboration with other artistic disciplines such as visual arts and dance, and has already realized several works in such collaborations. In September 2024, she performed a joint performance of electronic music and dance with dancer Yeji Lim in South Korea. In November 2024, she founded the TRIangle team together with Lim and realized an interdisciplinary performance in Vienna under the theme “Interaction of Contemporary Arts.”
