Taxes and Social Insurance
The Basics
Artists' lives are not just about musical skills. Apart from creative work, taxes and social insurance are also part of everyday artistic life. But at what income level do income tax and insurance contributions have to be paid? When does additional insurance make sense? What support options are available for insurance payments? Which grants and prizes are subject to income tax? What are the general conditions and obligations regarding VAT? Do artists need cash registers?
In this webinar, participants will receive an introduction to general tax law for freelance cultural and artistic work. They will learn about the relevant aspects of social security and possible forms of support and will deal with the special features of international tax law and social security issues.
