As a musician, you are not only an artist, but also an actor, marketing expert, agent, entrepreneur and strategist. All of these roles are necessary to gain attention, funding and engagements and to realize your artistic dreams. For a fulfilling artistic professional life, you need sound knowledge in the areas of law, finance and insurance as well as various forms of company formation.

In this webinar, you will receive an overview of the most important areas as well as practical instructions and tools to help you build and shape your existence.

  • Understanding contract law: What to look out for in agreements?
  • Tax knowledge for musicians: Value added tax, trade tax and tax returns

Course lecturer Anna Barbara Kastelewicz


Anna Barbara Kastelewicz, musician, lecturer and systemic coach, studied at the HfM Berlin and GSMD London and completed her scientific doctorate at the University Mozarteum Salzburg with the “Award of Excellence”. She is the founder of the music agency music in progress. Festival director, coach for artists and companies, leadership trainer and managing director of the gUG KulturSchlagLicht. She teaches professional studies at the Berlin University of the Arts and developed the subject “Management for Musicians” at the HfM Berlin.
